The book is about a nine year old boy who name is Bruno and he move's to a new town (Auschswitz) because hi's father get's a important job from the fuhrer. Bruno meet's a boy wearing striped pajamas, he gets friends with him. Bruno doestn't understand all the Holocoast or why all the jew's had striped pajamas on, he think's that the jew's had a great time. Bruno's friend's name is Shmuel, Shmuel asks for help to find hi's father. Bruno take's the jew close's on and get's in the jew camp. Bruno and hi's friend Shmuel got tragically killed in the gas chamber.
